KnotSpot is an independent student-built platform created to help students connect, socialize, discover compatible matches, find roommates, and share moderated anonymous confessions within the SRM student community.

By accessing or using KnotSpot, you agree to these Terms, Community Guidelines, and Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use KnotSpot.

By using the platform, you confirm that:

  • You are 18 years of age or older.
  • You will provide accurate and genuine information.
  • You will not impersonate another person.
  • You will not create fake, misleading, or duplicate accounts.

KnotSpot reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or remove accounts that violate these requirements.

2. User Accounts and Verification

Users may be required to create an account to access certain features.

To improve safety and reduce fake profiles, KnotSpot may use verification methods such as email verification, profile review, face verification, or other safety checks.

Face verification images are used only for verification, safety, and moderation purposes. These images are not displayed publicly on user profiles.

Admins may review verification-related data only when required for verification, safety, abuse prevention, or moderation.

3. Roommate Finder

KnotSpot is only a connecting platform and is not responsible for rental agreements, payments, property conditions, disputes, or offline arrangements between users.

Users should independently verify listings, meet safely, and avoid sharing sensitive personal or financial information too quickly.

4. Reports and Moderation

Users may report profiles, confessions, messages, roommate listings, or public content that appears unsafe, abusive, fake, or inappropriate.

KnotSpot may review reports and take actions including:

  • Removing content
  • Hiding or limiting content
  • Restricting user features
  • Suspending accounts
  • Banning accounts, devices, fingerprints, IP addresses, or other identifiers

Moderation decisions are made to protect user safety and platform integrity.

5. Platform Independence

KnotSpot is an independent student-made platform.

KnotSpot is not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or managed by SRM University, SRMIST, or any SRM campus administration.

6. Changes to This Policy

KnotSpot may update these Terms, Guidelines, and Privacy Policy as features, safety systems, or legal requirements change.

Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the revised policy.
